14/6/19 - the rest of the day

This is how Trevor spent most of his first day in hospital.. A bit of chat , then a bit of snoring away,

He was moved to a room with only one other occupant, a lovely mathematician who speaks English pretty well.  They are pretty good company for each other.

We informed the insurance company about the happenings and need to supply a heap of information - that will keep me busy.  The doctors are in a holding pattern over the weekend, so we don't expect anything to change much or much information either.

The nurses come in and give him injection or tablets and we are not sure what they are - it seems he is getting warfarin or similar as a preventative for clotting while he is in bed mostly. They come and give an injection to each of them each night it seems.  (Even the guy next door who looks to have had prostate surgery and has blood in his catheter bag already)

We remind them if Trevor has not been given his other tablet, (for cholesterol)  and they have brought some other tablet and given it to him too, but we don't know what it was (a little scary)
. hopefully it was not intended for a different patient.
He also gets an anti-inflammatory fizzy drink three times a day (which is no doubt also helping with the pain)  - and an injection for pain if he asks for it.

In the meantime, when I am not in there with him, I keep on seeing Prague stuff and taking photos.

there are lots of beer cycle bars going around town  (the guys sing a lot on them)

I continue to marvel at the architecture

and the paving.  With this lot the tiny square pavers (maybe 2 inches across) have been cut diagonally to allow for this pattern to be made.

This is on the ministry of industry and trade building

 This narrow lane leads into

This narrow lane

old time barbers shop  At 8pm someone was in there having a shave.
This shop puts a whole new meaning to mini market.  - They sell millions of mini bottles of booze along with large bottles of booze, beer and a few food things ( to eat with the booze) .  I think the people outside my window at 4am have been visiting this shop and the others like it just in this street.

That's pretty much the 14th covered.

I went out and bought a fan because the hospital is stiflingly hot and there is no air conditioning or fan (just like in the apartment) .  It took me most of the afternoon to locate a fan that didn't cost the earth and wasn't huge. I also bought a sim card for Trev as we were not aware that the hospital had a good wifi network available if you logged in.  He is now saving his data and using the hospital wifi.

Feel free to message him directly and email him directly also - he is happy of the distraction from the boring life of a hospital patient (and my company only)
