Schools sprints in Wagga Wagga

The schools sprints were in Wagga Wagga, so we needed to check out from Cootamundra and make it to the city for the event.

We arrived after many of the kids had already done their sprint. but in plenty of time to see the presentations and do our own events (which we could not do until at least midday)

Two members of the schools team made the podium (Dante and Toby) - which was great to see.

It was a complex course in an interesting but small school  with a map flip in the middle.

The scale was larger than usual (1:2000) which threw some competitors (including Trevor) .

Once the event was over we found our airbnb for the next few nights , which seems overly spacious after the cramped quarters of the last few days.  We have our own kitchen, dining room and lounge as well as bedrooms.

We sat on the front porch and enjoyed a cider as we watched the world go on by before making use of the washing machine and shower.

Then we headed out to have dinner with the other SA contingent who wanted to (or were well enough) at the local club,  35 odd people turned up and a good conversation was had by all. A great thing to do in the middle of a carnival interstate.
